The English word 'billiards' originated from the french word billard, the original form of the word bille which has meaning of curved stick. Kurash is an ancient traditional sports of Uzbekistan with estimated history of 3,500 years. The term 'Kurash' has a meaning of 'match', 'compete' and 'fight'. Short Course Swimming competes for the fastest time for the distance of 50 meters or more on 25m long swimming pool. The sports competes in 4 different styles and a medley event.
